Psyche began her promoter/DJ career in May 2000 with Nocturnia, a goth/synthpop/darkwave event held weekly on the first floor of The Cage nightclub. Nocturnia quickly vanquished its competition, DestiNation, and within two months joined with a crew of electro/industrial DJs to form the two-level event Alchemy. With the sale of The Cage and Alchemy's move to Nation, the event grew to draw up to 1,300 patrons and has featured live shows by The Mission, VNV Nation, Faith & the Muse, Cruxshadows, ohGr (ex-Skinny Puppy), Icon of Coil, Funker Vogt, Pigface, Covenant, Voltaire and dozens of others. In the meantime Psyche began to promote and DJ at smaller events, Purgatorio and Dollhouse, while guest DJing at clubs from Los Angeles to Philadelphia and at Convergence VIII and IX. Psyche moved to London, England in November 2002. Since then she has DJed at events in London, Oxford, Reading, and Edinburgh, founded the now-defunct weekly industrial/punk/deathrock event Vicious and secured a rotating residency at the legendary Slimelight. Unable to kick her promotions addiction, Psyche has now branched out once again into booking live shows, first with Corps, a one-off event at Electrowerkz featuring Deathboy, Faetal and kinHo and co-sponsored by Jaegermeister and Salvation Films. In April 2004 she achieved her dream of bringing old friends Bella Morte to London where they performed with Zombina and the Skeletones and Devilish Presley at The Verge to a crowd of more than 150 people. While no longer associated with Slimelight, Psyche is now a staff DJ at Black Mass, The Adventures of Gwendoline fetish party and Down Boy! singles night. She also pops up for guest spots around the UK and elsewhere (see Events page) and runs an exchange program for goth bands between the US and Britain -- alumni include The Last Dance, Antiworld and Manuskript.
